Obituary 1999:  Bonnie Schneider, daughter of Emanuel and Odella (Schafer) Schneider, was born June 26, 1947 at Rugby, ND.  She grew up near Orrin where she received her early education. She attended Rugby High School for 3 years before transferring to Harvey High School where she graduated in 1965.


On September 27, 1965 she was married to Mark Schmitz at Harvey. They lived southwest of Harvey until 1980 when they purchased a farm east of Manfred where they resided since. In addition to assisting with the farm and dairy operation she worked as a assistant cook at Fessenden Public School from 1995 to 1998 and assisted with the Kinderbears program in Harvey from 1991 to 1998.  She was presently employed with Great Plains Development in Fessenden.


She was a past member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church and Altar Society of Harvey and was presently a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church & Altar Society of Fessenden. She was active in the Fargo Diocese Cursillo Program and the Manfred Homemakers Club.


She is survived by her husband Mark, 2 sons Scott (Melody) and Dale (Dynella); 5 daughters Lorie (Rodney) Bourne, Karie (Steve Ehlert), Jennifer (Tom Lettow), Nancy & Cherie; five grandchildren; 4 brothers Edwin (Joanne), Fr. George, James (MaryAnn), Clifford (Barbara) and 7 sisters:  Marie Gefroh, Ann Hager, Stella Schiele, Yvonne (William) Strauss, Martha (Leonard Fennewald), Ramona (Gary Schmitz), and Virginia (Dale) Davy,  She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jerome.
