Mr. and Mrs. Tom T. Jorstad were natives of Norway. In 1893, Tom immigrated to the USA, Ragndi immigrated in 1899. They were married August 29, 1900 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

 

They were the parents of four children, Mayme, Theodore, Margaret and Alfred. Through their son, Theodore, they became grandparents, and since their passing, four great grandchildren added.

 

Their homestead certificate was given October 26, 1908 and signed by Theodore Roosevelt, U.S. President.

When T. T. Jorstads moved to Harvey, they sold the farm to their son-in-law and daughter Walter and Mayme Larson.
